Herbert Augustus CROOK, son of Charles E CROOK (c. 1862- ) and Laura LUDBROOK (c. 1861- ), was born on 28 January 1886 in North Lopham, Norfolk. Very little has been found about Herbert’s time in the military. He was listed as an absent voter, abode Church Farm, South Lopham: M2/229824 Pte. 983rd M.T. Co. 20th Co. A.S.C. He was also listed on the R.A.S.C. medal entitlement roll. He died on 15 February 1970 in North Lopham and was buried there on 18 February 1970.
